Screwgerly takes your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. The short version: we collect the minimum data necessary to provide our service, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
Data We Collect
Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (securely hashed). If you sign up via Google or GitHub, we receive your email and display name from those services.
Financial Data
Transactions, budgets, and savings goals you enter into Screwgerly are stored on our servers. This data is encrypted at rest and in transit. We do not have access to your bank account credentials or connect directly to your financial institutions.
Usage Data
We collect basic analytics like pages visited and features used to improve the product. This data is anonymized and aggregated.
How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the Screwgerly service
- To send you service-related emails (account verification, password resets)
- To respond to support requests
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.
Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from your settings, which will permanently remove all your data from our servers within 30 days. Backup copies may persist for up to 90 days.
